Lisa Carr-Broome was a recreation athlete until 2000 at which time she
fell in love with biking while mountain biking through Bhutan. (She also
met her husband to be, George, while on the trip.) Since then she and her
husband have done mountain biking trips through Tibet, Nepal, Mongolia,
New Zealand and Guatemala. This has led to a growing interest in endurance
events which include:

Lisa is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (C.R.N.A.) with
a B.S.N. from the University of Ala. in Birmingham, and an M.S. from Baylor
College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Originally from Birmingham, she
and her husband spend their time traveling, or on their ranch in Pecos,
NM. or at their home in Houston, TX.
