Eric Jacobsen

Biography

Eric Jacobsen began adventure racing in 1998, completing his first multiday race four years ago. Since that time, Eric has become an avid fan of adventure racing and competes in several adventure races each year. In 2002, Eric competed in the Michigan Bush Bash (2nd place), the Beast of the East (2nd place 4 person coed), the Eco Challenge in Fiji, and the USARA National Championship in North Carolina.

Eric has a long history of competition, completing numerous running races, mountain bike races and triathlons such as the NORBA mountain biking championship in Deer Valley, Utah, the Las Vegas marathon, and the off-road ironman in Park City, UT which provide the strong background for his adventure racing. He also enjoys most other outdoor activities including skiing, backpacking, fishing and kayaking. Eric lives and trains in Park City, UT.

While not training or enjoying time with his wife and three children, Eric works in the computer software industry. He has founded, grown and sold several technology companies over the past ten years.
